Job Summary:

In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-ME1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality/completeness reviews of design packages prior to submittal to AHJs.
  • Submit design packages to AHJ using the AHJ tools/processes.
  • Coordinate with various engineering disciplines (within Bechtel and with Design Partners) to obtain and compile responses to comments from the AHJs. Assist in managing comments to closure.
  • Prepare meeting notes and track key actions in meetings with the AHJs and Customer.
  • Interface with AHJs at their offices and at the jobsite. Participate in joint Bechtel/AHJ walkdowns at jobsite.
  • Track status of permits to ensure they will be in place to support construction activities.
  • Elevate concerns and be part of the solution to address problems.
  • Support a positive work environment, which fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction on the project.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in architecture, an engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Relevant Engineering experience.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Permitting experience
  • Candidates responding to this posting must currently be eligible to work and remain in the USA without sponsorship
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical facilities engineering and construction
  • Previous Bechtel experience
