Project Overview:
The project is a 1.3 GW simple-cycle power generation facility located in Millersport, Ohio, being constructed adjacent to a hyperscale data center campus. The facility includes multiple power generation technologies consisting of Solar Titan 130 gas turbines, Siemens SGT800 gas turbines, reciprocating engines, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and associated balance of plant infrastructure.
The scope includes major civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, underground utility, control systems, and commissioning works required to support phased energization and turnover of the facility. Construction will be executed through a combination of direct hire and subcontracted labor supported by modularization, pre-assembly, offsite warehousing, and advanced work packaging methodologies.
Job Summary:
Performs professional labor relations duties in support of project workforce operations. Serves as a primary point of contact for craft professionals, supervisors, and labor representatives regarding labor agreement administration, employee relations matters, workforce policies, employment practices, and labor compliance activities. Supports the development of a productive labor environment that promotes safe and efficient project execution. #LI-TH1
Major Responsibilities:
- Administer applicable labor agreements, site work rules, and workforce policies.
- Serve as a primary labor relations contact for craft personnel, supervisors, and labor organizations.
- Investigate employee concerns, workplace complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Assist in the resolution of workforce disputes and jurisdictional issues.
- Support workforce onboarding, orientation, and policy communication activities.
- Maintain labor relations records, grievance files, disciplinary documentation, and workforce databases.
- Coordinate labor relations meetings, hearings, and workforce communications.
- Monitor compliance with labor agreements, employment regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in workforce planning, labor reporting, and workforce metrics analysis.
- Support workforce retention, employee engagement, and craft professional development initiatives.
- Participate in investigations and recommend appropriate corrective actions when necessary.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with labor organizations and project personnel.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field.
- Typically 7+ years of labor relations, industrial relations, employee relations, workforce services, or construction workforce experience.
- Experience interpreting labor agreements and addressing employee relations issues.
- Experience working with craft labor and project organizations preferred.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of labor relations principles and grievance administration processes.
- Understanding of labor agreements, employment practices, and workforce policies.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to conduct investigations and document findings accurately.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong organizational and reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, contractors, and union representatives
