Project Overview:

Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Bechtel's scope of service in Sentinel's current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.

A major contractor for the United States and allied governments, Bechtel has handled such efforts as chemical weapons demilitarization projects, missile-defense, infrastructure, base operations, procurement and project management, and restoration and recovery spanning half a century. We use our expertise to help our customers securely and effectively transform mission delivery.

Job Summary:

The CAP Coordinator on the Sentinel Project will report directly to the CAP Manager for project execution and direction. The CAP Coordinator's primary responsibility is to support the administration, coordination, and management of the project Corrective Action Program, as well as to support data collection, metrics development, and reporting for the Corrective Action Program and Continuous Improvement Programs. #LI-EH1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Supports administration, coordination, and reporting for the Sentinel Corrective Action Program (CAP)
  • Maintains reports and metrics from the Closed Loop Corrective Action (CLCA) system (DevonWay)
  • Maintains and reports monthly Quality department metrics
  • Supports the development, maintenance, and analysis of program metrics to provide clear insight for decision-making
  • Supports development of data visualizations and graphics to display and report CAP and Continuous Improvement Program metrics
  • Supports data collection and reporting for the Continuous Improvement Program on project, including supporting the integration of data across BSAPS
  • Supports data collection and reporting for quarterly NS&E metrics and data requests
  • Supports project data trending and analysis efforts
  • Coordinates with all organizations to support the identification and resolution of corrective actions, lessons learned, and improvement actions
  • Maintains and improves data quality and consistency to support informed decision making and improvement action identification


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Level I: University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience
  • Level II: Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Advanced data manipulation and analysis skills
  • Advanced data visualization skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerBI
  • Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to conclusion
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interact with all levels of project staff and management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong math and basic statistical analysis skills
