Shift Leader
Job Description Summary
The Shift Leader is responsible for directing the activities of the Team with an emphasis on Safety, Product Quality, on time delivery, and production efficiency. Ensure that production meets or exceeds efficiency and company quality standards. Ensure that facilities and processes conform to GMP and GDP standards by complying to applicable Quality Systems requirements and documents.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities
1.1. Serve as the Team Leader for shift associates ensuring proper carryover of production activities and requirements. Direct the Team associates to ensure that day-to-day production schedule are met.
1.2. Ensure a work environment exists for associates that provide effective communication between all shift team members to effectively communicate concerns regarding production.
1.3. Ensure that production processes are in line with company and regulatory requirements; Accurately completing all necessary documentation for Quality Management System and regulatory compliance.
1.4. Align the direction relative to manufacturing goals to meet production needs and expectations.
1.5. Regularly leading to check the machinery and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflow.
1.6. Managing the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment with technical support and asset care team.
1.7. Identify and Communicate information to correct plant discipline relative to GMP, GDP and product quality and defect prevention, product disposition, and rework and/or repair activity.
1.8. Evaluate, Monitor, and react to personnel allocation in the plant including the use of overtime in conjunction with production needs.
1.9. Supervise the Team, Work with the Production Manager to execute performance reviews; monitor day to day staffing assignments; Deal with additional personnel issues as assigned.
1.10. Determine and communicate the direction relative to 5S and safety practices. Informing a production team of preferred occupational health and safety practices.
1.11. Responsible for shift team members' training and competency building.
1.12. Perform any other duty as assigned.
1.13. Safety and ISO14001 Environmental accountability. Ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly workplace by observing Company's rules and procedures. Active involvement in prevention, elimination of potential safety hazards and participation in activities which promotes recycling, replacement, and reduction of resource materials.
1.14. Safety & health accountability: Safety and health are important to BD and we encourage the observance of all safety programs and training assigned to you. Such programs are to be attended in a timely manner to ensure that work tasks carried out are in accordance to our safety guidelines and SOPs.
Education and Experience
1. Diploma in mechanical with minimum 2 years manufacturing experience or Minimum 5 years of related experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skills
1. Experience in supervision of assembly manufacturing facility.
2. Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a TEAM environment.
3. Good people skills are essential for liaising with other departments.
