In this 14-16 month contract role based in our offices in Mississauga, ON, the Senior Product Manager, MDS, will lead the national marketing strategy for the designated Worldwide platform within the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) business. Reporting to the Marketing Director, MDS, the position contributes directly to the development and execution of the MDS Canada strategy for the assigned product portfolio.
Responsibilities include advancing product positioning, strengthening market presence, and developing comprehensive strategic marketing plans that align with sales priorities to accelerate growth and expand MDS Canada's footprint across key platforms.
The role also plays a critical part in preparing the Canadian market-and the BD MDS commercial organization-for upcoming product introductions, ensuring successful launches supported by robust programs, tools, and services.

Job responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of product portfolio including market development activities as required
- Develop and maintain expert market knowledge in terms of quantitative and qualitative market data
- Analyze, interpret and report market data and trends to assist with the deployment of specific actions to maximize business opportunities and minimize potential threats
- Assist with the development of annual business plans and long-term strategic plans
- Organize and co-ordinate product launches including market evaluation, commercialization plans and market roll-out
- Assist with the development and implementation of marketing programs across all elements of the communications mix
- Provide timely data, information and support to the sales team, enabling competitive advantages to be realized on a regional basis
- Align with the World Wide platform to forecast and build a national strategy for Canada
- Implement sales training to improve product positioning and brand
- Support and participate in sales planning, opportunity management and customer engagements
- Support and participate in GPO planning, RFP's and unique market demands
- Work with other Business Units on joint value offers
- Actively participate with internal groups on the development of KOL's and Advocacy strategies
- Extend BD's presence in pharmacy focused on improving safety for staff and patients
- Manage three direct reports, including all aspects of people leadership such as goal setting, performance management, coaching, development planning, and fostering a high-performing team culture.
Education and Experience required:
- University degree required with 2 to 5 years experience in a product manager or marketing role in the healthcare industry (such as Medical Device, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience of the CanadianHealthcare Systemand regulatory environment.
- Experience in identifying market opportunities, conducting market segmentation, executing targeted marketing initiatives, and performing competitive analysis.
- Additional experience includes forecasting, P&L management, and the development and execution of marketing campaigns.
Skills and Knowledge required:
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring team members to build capabilities, support career growth, and enhance overall team performance.
- Skilled in pricing strategy development, as well as designing and implementing effective go-to-market models and strategies.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Demonstrated leadership, creativity and vision.
- Ability to interact effectively with all management levels
- Highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize under tight deadlines.
- Well-organized with strong process management capabilities and a disciplined approach to planning and execution.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook. - Ability to travel between 20 and 40% as needed within Canada and US.
Preferred qualifications:
- Fluently bilingual in French an asset

Our salary or hourly rate ranges reward associates fairly and competitively. We regularly review these ranges and factors, such as location, contribute to the range displayed.
Our pay is based on the role and the necessary skills and education to perform it successfully. The salary or hourly rate offered is determined by the role's specific requirements, including any applicable step rate pay system at the work location. Salary or hourly pay ranges are influenced by labor laws and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) requirements applicable to the work location which may also affect the workplace arrangement of the role.
Salary Range Information: $95,000 - $145,000 CAD Annual
