Job Description

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Create and update Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for BD finished goods and products in development, ensuring compliance with applicable global and local regulatory requirements (e.g. CLP, GHS, OSHA).
  • Monitor and implement global and local regulatory changes and related system updates impacting SDS content and processes.
  • Maintain and manage the SDS request process, including coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure timely input and approvals.
  • Perform classification of substances and mixtures in accordance with applicable country and regional regulations
  • Maintain and manage substance-level chemical data, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across systems, including preparation and submission of notifications to relevant authorities.
  • Collaborate with Business Product Stewards and IT teams to ensure accurate product data, system stability, data integrity, and an efficient end-to-end SDS creation process.
  • Develop, update, and maintain work instructions and procedures related to the SDS creation and maintenance process.

About you:

  • You hold a degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • You have a minimum of 1 year of experience in SDS authoring for substances and mixtures, preferably using SAP.
  • You have a solid understanding of chemical regulations (e.g. CLP, GHS, OSHA, REACH).
  • You have previous work experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or medical device company.
  • You demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex regulatory data.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel for basic data analysis, data validation, and tracking SDS-related information (e.g. formulas, filters, pivot tables).
  • You have strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with good written and verbal proficiency in English.
  • Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract (18 months approximately)
    This position is offered on a fixed-term basis to support the team during a maternity leave cover period.
