This newly created role offers the opportunity to take ownership of product investigations for infusion pumps, acting as the link between customers, BD, and our global manufacturing team.
You'll help reduce turnaround times, improve processes, and contribute to a culture that values quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Your Day-to-Day
As aQuality Investigations Engineerat BD, you'll manage incoming product complaints and faults, ensuring timely investigation and resolution.
Your day will include:
- Reviewing and acting on Product Incident Reports (PIRs) for infusion pumps
- Coordinating investigations with BD's service team and the manufacturer in Switzerland
- Identifying root causes and recommending solutions to prevent recurring issues
- Managing documentation and compliance with local regulatory requirements
- Communicating with customers and internal teams to provide updates and resolutions
- Supporting initiatives to reduce turnaround times from months to weeks
About You
You're a detail-oriented engineer with a passion for quality and problem-solving. You're ready to step into a role that combines technical expertise with process improvement and customer focus.
Candidates must be authorised to work in Australia at the time of application.
You'll bring:
- A degree in Biomedical Engineering (mandatory)
- 3-5 years' experience performing repairs on medical devices or medical equipment
- Ability to apply higher-level thinking to investigations, ensuring structured, compliant, and root-cause-driven analysis
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
- Understanding of regulatory compliance in healthcare environments
- Practical experience with regulatory compliance in healthcare environments is essential
