This fixed-term (up to 18 months) Non-Acute Market Manager is a significant contributor to the achievement of key business objectives in the non-acute space, supporting accelerated growth across various portfolios and in priority channels including home care, retail pharmacy and surgical centres.

The Non-Acute Market Manager is accountable for the achievement of key marketing functional goals; influences the development and drives the execution of the non-acute marketing plan to meet both the short- and long-term growth strategies within the Canadian non-acute market. Responsibility includes decisions or recommendations that impact sales and/or expense budget performance, including potential management of a formal marketing expense budget, driving top line sales performance. Influences within work area/ department/ function and within business units; provides significant input into business decisions and resource planning for the non-acute team; plays critical role in key projects/ initiatives, often leading cross-functional project/ initiative teams.Demonstrates marketing expertise through specific and advanced set of skills and knowledge, e.g., strategic planning, market development, forecasting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages all aspects of marketing plans development and execution for assigned channels or markets product portfolios to ensure the achievement of financial/budget expectations and product or channel strategies, including market sensing (gathering customer insights, analyzing market trends), marketing/portfolio mix, go-to-market strategies, channel prioritization, customer segmentation, and pricing strategies.
  • Lead development of selling tools and omni-channel campaigns to support execution of strategic plans.
  • Collaborate and align with contacts globally and within the different business units on platform strategies to drive growth in the non-acute market.
  • Contribute to the development of the Annual Strategic Review process for the Non-Acute Team.
  • Act as the main knowledge leader with respect to competitive activities, initiatives, and partnerships to ensure proactive market awareness and action.
  • Sales support as required to meet customer needs.
  • Organization and execution of National Conferences and Events.
  • 20% travel within Canada and the US
  • Above responsibilities evolve and are not all-inclusive; other activities may be assigned.

Education and Experience required:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in messaging and strategy development within the healthcare industry, specifically in marketing and/or business development.

Knowledge and Skills required:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook) required.
  • Collaborative teammate with excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority and collaborate with others to meet project goals, timelines, and/or deliverables.
  • Customer centric - able to uncover customer insights and segment customers in an actionable way
  • Experience with omni-channel customer engagement, including customer targeting and developing channel strategies
  • Strategic planning experience, including analyzing market trends and developing impactful marketing plans,
  • Highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all management levels
  • Experience in identifying Market Opportunities, Market Segmentation, Targeted Marketing, Competitive Analysis, Pricing Strategy and Go to Market models and strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership, creativity and vision.
  • Fluency in English (read write speak) is required.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA is an asset.
  • Bilingual French is preferred to communicate with French-speaking customers across the country.
  • Prior product management experience in the Medtech industry is considered a strong asset.
  • Prior experience working with different types of Non-Acute customers (eg. clinics, home care, retail pharmacies, biotech/pharma) preferred.
  • Experience with Showpad, and/or other digital tools an asset.
