1. Position Overview
The Marketing Specialist for DS Marketing (Informatics / ID/AST / TB) is responsible for driving market development, executing business and marketing strategies, supporting product excellence, and coordinating commercial initiatives in alignment with regional and global teams. This role ensures business growth by strengthening channel capabilities, enabling technical readiness, and enhancing customer engagement for BD Clinical Microbiology solutions.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Business & Marketing Strategy
- Develop short-term and long-term business and marketing strategies for BD Clinical Microbiology products.
- Execute integrated business plans in collaboration with distributors.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify market opportunities.
- Plan, adapt, and execute advertising, promotional, and digital/omnichannel marketing programs.
B. Product & Market Expertise
- Build strong expertise in BD Clinical Microbiology products (Informatics / ID/AST / TB).
- Deliver product training and capability-building programs for partners and internal stakeholders.
- Support product positioning and value communication aligned with global and regional guidance.

C. Sales & Technical Enablement (Informatics / Synapsys Focus)
- Provide high-level solution architecture insights and design concepts to support sales opportunity development.
- Engage with customer IT and laboratory teams, working closely with Sr. Informatics & Lab Automation Specialist, to ensure all technical and connectivity requirements for BD Informatics products are met before implementation.
- Collaborate with sales and technical teams to drive opportunity progression.
D. Customer & Partner Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and other business partners.
- Coordinate commercial and operational processes with cross-functional stakeholders including SCM, Finance, Regulatory, and Public Affairs.
E. Regional & Global Collaboration
- Work closely with Regional (Greater Asia) and Global Marketing teams to ensure strategic alignment and drive optimized business outcomes.
- Support localization and execution of regional/global initiatives and campaigns.
F. KOL & External Stakeholder Management
- Build and manage strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Support advisory boards, expert meetings, and professional networks.
G. General Responsibilities
- Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager or business director in alignment with business needs.
3. Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
- Around 5 years of professional experience, preferably in diagnostics, clinical microbiology or healthcare marketing.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and competitive insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work in a matrixed global environment.
Preferred
- Experience with microbiology, infectious disease diagnostics, AST, or informatics solutions.
- Knowledge of laboratory workflows and clinical microbiology operations.
- Experience working with distributors or channel partners.
- Familiarity with digital marketing or omnichannel execution.
