Support HL7-based integrations for Pyxis medication systems across hospital implementations.

As anIntegration Support Engineer, you'll support the deployment and ongoing operation of BD Pyxis medication management solutions, configuring and supporting HL7 interfaces between BD software and hospital information systems.

This role is offered as a2-year fixed-term contract, based at our Macquarie Park head office, supporting a large-scale hospital implementation program. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Integration Engineers and customer IT teams to ensure integrations are delivered correctly and operate reliably in live clinical environments.
This role suits someone with hands-on healthcare integration experience who enjoys technical problem-solving, structured delivery and working with hospital IT stakeholders.
Your Day-to-Day
As an Integration Support Engineer, you'll support both the implementation phase and live operation of integrated hospital systems.
Your day will include:
- Supporting the deployment, configuration and integration of BD Pyxis solutions into hospital environments
- Building, configuring and testing HL7 interfaces with hospital and third-party clinical systems
- Providing Level 1 and Level 2 remote support for integration, interface and software-related issues
- Assisting with installation and maintenance of interface software, virtual machines and supporting infrastructure
- Working closely with Project Managers to support delivery timelines and resolve integration issues
- Collaborating with hospital IT teams and third-party vendors to troubleshoot interface, network and data-flow issues
- Identifying root causes and supporting resolution of integration-related incidents
- Maintaining clear documentation of integrations, configurations and support activity
You'll work across multiple concurrent hospital implementations, balancing technical accuracy with timely, clear support.
About You
You're technically capable, methodical and comfortable supporting healthcare systems in live environments.
You'll bring:
- Experience working in healthcare IT environments
- Hands-on experience with HL7 standards and interfaces (essential)
- Background in integration support, application support or software implementation roles
- Working knowledge of Windows server environments, databases and virtualised systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify root causes
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across active projects
- Experience producing and maintaining technical documentation
- A professional, customer-focused approach
