Job Description
The Specimen Management Marketing Manager EU leads delivery of the EMEA Specimen Management marketing strategy and supports achievement of business unit commercial objectives. The role drives EU marketing excellence, downstream marketing, launch excellence and commercial execution in partnership with regional, global and country stakeholders. Working with Omnichannel and country teams, this person builds customer demand, gathers market insights and connects local market needs with the Global Platform.
The role requires an agile, strategic leader who can operate effectively across a matrix organization, multiple geographies and product platforms.
S/he leads and develops three European Product Managers and contributes to the Specimen Management EU Marketing Leadership Team.
Main Responsibilities
Planning
- Work with the EMEA leadership team to deliver growth aligned with the Annual Strategic Review (ASR)
- A member of the EMEA Specimen Marketing Leadership Team, responsible for the development and execution of the regional marketing plan with a focus on growth through innovation.
- Developing talent of direct reports through structure career blueprints and coaching.
Downstream Marketing
- Ensures compliance with local/regional MLR process for promotional material
- Consolidates regional insights across their portfolio to drive business decision at regional level and provide guidance to Global on regional needs
- Work closely with the Omnichannel Team and Cluster Marketing teams to develop and roll out marketing campaigns and launch plans.
Product Launches
- Drives accelerated New Product Launches (NPLs)
- Localizes EMEA value offer and brand assets to meet local requirements
- Liaises with local regional regulatory team to drive successful launch
- Works with commercial team to ensure appropriate GTM and mix strategy for NPLs.
- Executes pricing strategy for launch in line with Global guidance
- Provides input on New Product Development to the Global Platform ensuring all new products meet customer needs
Commercial excellence
- Drives consistency and utilization of multicounty sales support and enablement strategy tools, processes
- Oversee development of commercial training, tools and competencies
- Prioritization based on data driven segmentation and targeting
- Support market development needs, working with Market Access and Public Policy.
- Leverages CRM system as a key tool to plan and measure commercial activity.

Customer Experience
- Sets transactional VOC for local interactions
- Leads CX improvement initiatives through regional programs
- Deploys brands regionally in accordance with global brand guidelines
- Works with Omnichannel team to build customer persona, journey maps and define omnichannel experience
Team Leadership & Development
- Direct reports of 3 EU Product Managers
- Key Leader across the EU organization driving strategy and execution.
- Contributes to create a Team spirit with a high morale and motivation.
- Coaches and develops marketing competencies.
- Educate and leverage omnichannel capabilities within the team.
- Manages performance, career and development planning.
- Owns hiring process within his/her team.
- Ensures strong collaboration of his/her team with the rest of the BD organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of business/marketing experience in the life sciences/medical device industry
- Minimum of 5 years in product and/or marketing management.
- Bachelor's degree, MBA or Post-graduate Marketing qualification
- Strong technical marketing acumen
- Team leadership experience
- Experience of working in a large matrix organization
Skills required:
- Strong strategic agility and customer focus
- Process-driven and action-oriented, takes ownership of tasks and get things done
- Advanced level of Omni-channel Customer Engagement
- Must present high level of collaborative communication.
- Good people leader - someone who others want to work for, team player
- Competent to translate organizational objectives to individual goals and prioritize with the customer focus
- Ability to influence without authority, using relationships and networks within the BD matrix to influence strategies within the region, global and country level
- 30-40% travel
