Job Description

This position combines Credit Control, Collections, Customer Agreements, and Accounting responsibilities, with a strong focus on cash collection, credit risk management, accounts receivable oversight, customer relationship management, compliance, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will ensure the containment and reduction of financial exposure of the Company to customers, and will also ensure the implementation of all actions of debt collection necessary to contain and reduce the credit exposure.

Responsibilities:

1. Credit

  • Evaluate the financial standing of new and existing customers and define payment terms.
  • Monitor credit exposure, credit limits, and accounts receivable risk.
  • Follow up on customer payments, overdue balances, and solvency assessments.
  • Recommend shipment blocks when credit limits are exceeded.
  • Support debt recovery, dispute resolution, and litigation activities.

2. Collections

  • Manage collections activities for private and public sector customers.
  • Monitor outstanding balances, perform reconciliations, and maintain AR records in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Conduct ageing analysis, DSO calculations, and prepare monthly AR reports.
  • Build relationships with customers through regular contact, visits, and repayment negotiations.
  • Escalate unresolved debts through legal procedures and keep management informed of potential risks.

3. Agreements

  • Ensure compliance with agreements established with private customers.
  • Meet with customers to negotiate and implement new agreements.
  • Support the Finance Manager on agreement-related activities.
  • Monitor high-risk customers and coordinate with legal advisors when required.

4. Accounting

  • Process accounting transactions, expenses, journal entries, and ledger maintenance in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations and review balance sheet accounts.
  • Calculate bad debt reserves, rebates, add-backs, and other financial adjustments.
  • Support monthly financial reporting and monitor accounting accuracy.
  • Manage petty cash and ensure proper reconciliation of bank accounts and accounting records.

Environmental Management Responsibilities

Maintain compliance with ISO 14001 environmental standards by supporting recycling initiatives and ensuring the proper use of company equipment and facilities.

Anti-Bribery Responsibilities

Report any actual or suspected bribery incidents, comply with ethical conduct requirements, and adhere to all company anti-bribery policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Finance related degree.
  • Experience in previous role with Hospital visits is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good Knowledge of fiscal and local requirements.
  • Open and fast to accept in applying and developing new processes and internal procedures.
  • Behaves and opens in interpersonal relationships and confident to colleagues and superiors.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills
  • Good analytical skills: attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at the same time
  • Strong Customer Focus
  • Fluent in Greek and English

The salary range for this position is 25k to 30k
