JobSummary

The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for facilitating and leading continuous improvement initiatives at the GFO site that drive measurable cost savings across labor, materials, yield, and other operationalareas.Thisrolepartnerscloselywithinternalstakeholdersandprocessownerstoidentifyimprovementopportunities,developprojectplans,andimplementsolutionsthatenhancesafety,quality,delivery,andcostperformance.

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will support the site's strategic objective of expanding the BD Production System (BD Excellence) across remaining value streams. The primary focus of thispositionistoidentify,lead,andsupportcontinuousimprovementprojects,addressrootcausesofoperationalchallenges,eliminatewaste,andhelpachieveannualplantperformancegoals.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Leadandexecutecontinuousimprovementprojectsfocusedonimprovingproductionflow,reducingwaste,andincreasingoperationalefficiency.
  • Facilitaterapidimprovementevents(Kaizen)byengagingcross-functionalteamsandmanufacturingassociates.
  • ConductauditsofdailystartupTiermeetingsandGembaWalkstoensureadherencetooperationalexcellencestandards.
  • Leadmediumtolarge-scalecapitalimprovementprojects.
  • Facilitateorco-facilitateBDExcellencereviewmeetings.
  • Identify,develop,andimplementstandardizedprocessesthroughoutthefacility.
  • Analyzeprocessesanddatatoidentifyopportunitiesforcostreductionandperformanceimprovement.
  • Collaboratewithoperations,quality,engineering,andotherfunctionalteamstodrivesustainableimprovements.
  • Performadditionaldutiesandspecialprojectsasassigned.

MinimumQualifications

Education&Experience

Applicantsmustmeetoneofthefollowingrequirements:

  • Bachelor'sdegreeinEngineeringoranothertechnicalfieldofstudy;OR
  • Minimumoffive(5)yearsofengineeringexperienceinamanufacturingenvironment.

  • Experienceleadingcontinuousimprovementinitiativesandimplementingcost-savingimprovementsinamanufacturingenvironment.
  • Experienceinoneormoreofthefollowingareas:

  • Hands-onexperiencewithproblem-solvingmethodologies,continuousimprovementtools,androotcauseanalysis.

  • AdvancedproficiencywithMicrosoftOfficeapplications,includingExcel,Word,PowerPoint,andVisio.
  • BasicknowledgeofERPsystemsusedfordataextraction(e.g.,SAP,JDE).
  • Provenabilitytomanagemultipleprojectssimultaneouslyanddeliverresultsontimeandwithinbudget.
  • Abilitytoadapttochangingprioritiesinafast-paced,matrixedenvironment.
  • Demonstratedleadershipskillswiththeabilitytoinfluenceteamswithoutdirectauthority.
  • Abilitytoeffectivelycollaboratewithalllevelsoftheorganization.
