Job Description Summary

The Clinical Application Specialist for the Biopsy Team plays a key role in supporting healthcare professionals and distributors by providing clinical and technical product training, on site procedure guidance, and post sales technical assistance. This role focuses on enhancing customer proficiency, ensuring safe and effective product usage, and contributing to overall customer satisfaction and product adoption.

Job Description

1) Product Education & Training

  • Deliver comprehensive training to physicians, hospital staff, and distributors to ensure safe, accurate, and confident product usage.
  • Explain product functions, operating workflows, troubleshooting steps, and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct onboarding training sessions for new customers.
  • Provide clinical application training simulating real-world procedures.
  • Develop and update educational materials such as presentations, manuals, and videos.

2) Hands-on Training

  • Facilitate hands-on practice sessions using phantoms or simulation models.
  • Prepare demo devices, consumables, and the overall training environment.
  • Assess user proficiency and provide constructive performance feedback.
  • Support demonstrations and workshops, including planning and execution.

3) Clinical Procedure Observation / On-site Clinical Support

  • Offer non-medical technical guidance during real clinical procedures.
  • Support healthcare professionals in achieving optimal product utilization.
  • Capture field insights and translate them into training improvements or product enhancement recommendations.

4) Technical & Clinical After-Sales Support (Non-engineering)

  • Serve as the first line of support for product usage or interface issues.
  • Guide users through setup, configuration, and workflow optimization.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to service engineers when appropriate.
  • Track customer inquiries and contribute to improvement initiatives based on VOC (Voice of Customer).

3. Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical support, CAS/FAS roles, or in-hospital clinical or educational functions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging with diverse customer groups.
  • Willingness and flexibility to support field-based activities, including travel and procedure observation.
  • Problem-solving skills and customer-oriented mindset.

4. Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ultrasound, biopsy, or interventional medical devices.
  • Experience creating product education content (e.g., slide decks, training videos).
  • Experience organizing training programs, workshops, or large-scale seminars.

5. Employment Type & Work Conditions

  • 1 year Contract
  • Primary work location: Travel to healthcare sites as required.
  • Domestic business travel may be required.

6. Additional Information

  • This role does not involve performing any clinical or medical procedures.
  • Responsibilities focus solely on providing technical and clinical application support and education.
  • Active involvement in improving training quality and contributing to product or process enhancements is expected.
