Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving sales targets and driving market share growth for Becton Dickinson's hospital products within the assigned Patna territory. This role involves building strong customer relationships, managing sales operations, and execute strategic sales plans effectively.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets for Becton Dickinson's hospital product portfolio in the Patna region.
Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, hospital administrators, clinicians, and procurement teams within the assigned territory.
Conduct regular market analysis to identify new business opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging market trends.
Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and needs assessment to proposal generation, negotiation, and closing sales.
Prepare and deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations to potential and existing customers.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, medical affairs, and customer service teams to ensure seamless customer experience and product support.
Monitor and report on sales performance, market activities, and competitive intelligence to Branch Manager.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Manage sales forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation for the assigned area.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive sales experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets within the hospital segment.
Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, hospital procurement processes, and key stakeholders in Patna and surrounding regions.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels.
Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and formulate effective sales strategies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
