Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver complex requirements to accomplish business goals.
  • Ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset.
  • Utilize knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
  • Design, develop, and implement complex system engineering activities involving cross-functional technical support, systems programming and data centric capabilities.
  • Work on components of highly complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities.
  • Establish input/output processes and work parameters for hardware/software compatibility, coordination of subsystems design, and integration of total system.
  • Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Applied Computer Science, CIS, MIS, Engineering (any), or related: and
  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
  • Must include 3 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Designing and developing scalable backend solution architectures using Python, web technologies, and RESTful service specifications;
  • Developing REST APIs leveraging software frameworks including SQL Alchemy, Spring, and related technologies;
  • Building production-ready software using web, cloud, and distributed technologies, including microservices, and implementing CI/CD for cloud deployment;
  • Developing responsive websites using front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and modern design patterns;
  • Creating software applications with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, including React, Angular, and jQuery, applying object-oriented design and design patterns; and,
  • Applying test-driven development, Agile, Scrum, and SDLC methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
