Process Overview

The Structured Trade Review (STR) team is part of the Global Middle Office (GMO) organization. STR is a critical control function that mitigates operational, valuation, and booking risks associated with complex structured products by ensuring trade economics are accurately represented in booking and risk systems, in line with legal documentation and deal terms.

Job Description

The Assistant Vice President will serve as a subject matter expert within the Structured Trade Review function, performing independent reviews of complex structured transactions across multiple asset classes. The role requires strong product knowledge, analytical capabilities, and the ability to partner with Front Office, Technology, Risk, Product Control, and Operations teams to ensure accurate trade capture, robust controls, and continuous process enhancement.

Strong understanding of Fixed Income, FX, Equities, Commodities, and structured derivative products.

Solid knowledge of derivatives pricing, valuation methodologies, and financial risk management concepts.

Experience reviewing complex trade structures and validating trade economics within front-to-back trade lifecycle processes.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills with attention to detail.

Ability to independently manage priorities and deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence outcomes across multiple functions.

Proven track record of driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and control enhancements.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; familiarity with automation platforms such as Alteryx is an advantage.

Requirements

Education

Post Graduation or an equivalent qualification (CFA, FRM or Any Finance related certifications)

Experience Range

Experience in a middle office support functions or operations function for OTC derivative products with a total experience of 10+ years

Foundational Skills

Good Understanding of Investment Banking Products from a Middle Office or Back Office background.

Strong communication skills across all levels of seniority especially with the Trading desk

Proven analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation

Desired Skills Demonstrate good Excel skills (macros, formulas) and VBA coding skills & Understanding of emerging technologies

Work Timings 11:30 to 20:30 IST
