Digital Assets presents an exciting opportunity to derive valuable insights from data and to drive revenue growth, efficiencies, and improved business processes. Technology collaborates closely with Global Markets Business and Platform teams in the design and buildout of the Global Markets Digital Asset Platform.

The platform will cater to a growing number of use cases that harness the power of Distributed Ledger Technology. Global Markets Digital Asset Platform will be built on an infrastructure landscape that leverage cloud services and on-premises solutions for scalability and compliance.

The Platform Engineer will lead the planning, and buildout of the Global Markets Digital Asset infrastructure. In this role, you will play a crucial role in designing, managing platform & application dependencies, and ensuring efficient use of environments. The ideal candidate will ensure quality and speed in releases by maintaining consistency across environments, documenting variations, and automating deployment activities to reduce errors. The individual will connect with various teams & processes like test management, change & release management, and production support. This position is rapidly evolving with advancements in distributed ledger technology and is considered pivotal for the modernization of capital market operations worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the design and engineering approach for complex features are consistent with the larger portfolio solution
  • Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate and adapt new testing tool/framework/practices for team(s)
  • Enables team(s)/applications with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilities and engages with other technical stakeholders pertaining to efficient functioning of CI-CD pipeline
  • Guides and influences team(s) on design and best practices for high code performance -e.g. pairing, code reviews
  • Provides end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automation, for either a single team or multiple teams, at the program level
  • Conducts research, design prototyping and other exploration activities such as evaluating new toolsets and components for release management, CI/CD, and features
  • Works with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements
  • Collaborating with Global Market Technology teams and business partners to define, build, test, and deploy platform requirements.
  • Defining & enforcing standards & best practices related to platform management.
  • Build platform to meet scalability, resiliency, and performance.
  • Building a new GM digital asset platform and integrating with enterprise platform by automating setup, installation, verification, monitoring & provisioning processes.
  • Planning & allocating environments to teams depending on their delivery lifecycle.
  • Analyzing data to identify and proactively address environment-related issues.
  • Working with project teams to manage costs & improve efficiency of environments.
  • Partnering closely with Prod Support and Engineering to deploy & support applications.

Required Qualifications:

Technical

  • Prior experience designing, implementing, and maintaining end to end environments, from POC to production.
  • Partner with DevOps team to secure deployment of blockchain nodes and supporting services.
  • Mix of on-premises and cloud based, containerized deployment models.
  • Familiarity with no-SQL (MongoDB) and databases, and other various forms of Object, Vector, and file stores.
  • Scripting, SQL, work scheduling tools.
  • Setting up infrastructure monitoring & reporting.
  • Performance profiling & optimization techniques to maximize performance & resource consumption / throughput and minimize latency.
  • Load balancing, high availability & backup recovery strategies/techniques.

Non-Technical

  • Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audience (business stakeholders, developer & support teams).
  • Meticulous & highly organized.
  • Adaptable to shifting & competing priorities.
  • Skilled at delegating, mentoring & setting expectations.
  • Critical thinking skills to diagnose & resolve complex issues.
  • 7-10 years in similar roles. Preferably in the financial industry.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Distributed Ledger Technology and smart contract languages
  • Proficiency in one or more functional programming languages
  • Professional or personal experience in DeFi markets

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$122,000.00 - $200,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
