Job Description:
This job is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for complex features to deliver significant business outcomes. Key responsibilities of the job include delivering complex features and technology, enabling development efficiencies, providing technical thought leadership based on conducting multiple software implementations, and applying both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. Additionally, this job is accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.

Job Profile Summary:

Our team provides low latency exchange market data for multiple asset classes to power the trading and pricing needs for a wide variety of use cases within Global Markets, principally Electronic Trading. We are a global team with presence in AMRS, EMEA and growing in APAC. We aim to maintain a global perspective while recognizing and responding to specific regional requirements that differentiate each market. We work closely with our technology and line of business partners to deliver new functionality, enhance existing systems, and execute exchange mandated changes.

The role is to work as a C++ Senior Engineer within the Core Systems, Analytics, and Technology (CSAT) technology global team and provide leadership and ownership of the front to back architectural design, development, testing, and production support of associated projects and initiatives. CSAT provides a low latency market data ticker plant supporting Electronic Trading initiatives across asset classes and is a mixture of in-house software and vendor technology integration. The role will require establishing a roadmap and leading development and support teams in the delivery of both technical enhancements and functional requests from the line of business. The candidate will be accountable for analysis of exchange mandated changes to determine impact to existing platforms and systems and drive successful cross-team implementation of required changes. The candidate will also partner with DevOps and Operations teams to architect a platform with world-class reliability and supportability.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the design and engineering approach for complex features are consistent with the larger portfolio solution
  • Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate and adapt new testing tool/framework/practices for team(s)
  • Enables team(s)/applications with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilities and engages with other technical stakeholders pertaining to efficient functioning of CI-CD pipeline
  • Guides and influences team(s) on design and best practices for high code performance -e.g. pairing, code reviews
  • Provides end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automation, for either a single team or multiple teams, at the program level
  • Conducts research, design prototyping and other exploration activities such as evaluating new toolsets and components for release management, CI/CD, and features
  • Works with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of expert level C++ experience in a Linux environment, with demonstrable knowledge of low -level systems development
  • Experience with Electronic Trading applications in a low-latency environment, including techniques and architectural patterns for latency and scalability
  • Direct hands-on development experience with AMRS market data protocols
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with other technical leaders, development teams, and line of business partners.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Exposure to low-latency infrastructure design and optimization
  • Familiarity with vendors providing low latency market data capabilities
  • Knowledge of the Equities market microstructure and the FIX protocol

Pay range

$122,000.00 - $200,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
