Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our container platform infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of the platform.
- Responsible for providing administrative and operational support for RH OpenShift infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for PEGA applications
- Install, configure, and maintain OpenShift clusters in on-premises or cloud environments
- Manage cluster lifecycle: upgrades, patches, and performance tuning
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift tools
- Monitor cluster health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
- Configure and manage networking, storage, and security policies within OpenShift
- Work closely with development teams to support containerized application deployments
- Automate operational tasks using Ansible, Helm, or other scripting tools
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and perform regular audits
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams
- Actively engage and lead product support issues and incidents
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in OpenShift administration and Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration (RHEL preferred)
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Tekton)
- Understanding of networking concepts (Ingress, Load Balancers, Service Mesh)
- Knowledge of storage solutions in OpenShift (Persistent Volumes, Storage Classes)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Ansible
- Good understanding of security practices (RBAC, OAuth, TLS)
Desired Qualifications:
- Working knowledge with OpenShift/Containers
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (or equivalent)
- Experience and/or certification with Pega Designer Studio
- Automation skills to reduce manual activities
- Proven team player who can work comfortably in a multicultural environment
- Proven ability to work independently, multi task and effectively work in a complex environment with a global team structure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong influencer, facilitator, and collaborator
- Detail oriented and organized
- Must be pro-active, enthusiastic, flexible, results driven with attention to detail
