Job Description

Global Markets Operations team supports the full lifecycle of Taiwan-listed equities and derivatives, including trade processing, settlement, securities lending (SBL), and account services.
This Band 6 Officer role is responsible for end-to-end processing across SBL, trade settlement, and account maintenance, with flexibility to rotate based on team capacity and business priorities. The role requires strong control awareness, client interaction capability, and the ability to perform in a multi-functional operating model

Responsibilities

Execute daily trade settlement, clearing, and reconciliation across exchanges, custodians, and internal systems
Provide cross-functional support across SBL, settlement, and account maintenance as part of rotation framework
Monitor settlement status; investigate and resolve fails, breaks, and reconciliation discrepancies
Act as point of contact for client, trading desk, and custodian queries across settlement and account services
Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards
Escalate exceptions (DoA breach, missing approval, settlement failure) in a timely manner
Support buy-in avoidance and aged break resolution
Participate in UAT, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives
Contribute to knowledge sharing and team coverage to enhance operational resilience

Requirements

Mandatory: Taiwan Securities Specialist + Futures Specialist certifications
Experience in Taiwan Equities Operations, trade settlement, Futures or SBL preferred
Product knowledge, previous experience in Taiwan Equities market is preferrable
Exposure to account onboarding / maintenance processes is advantageous
Strong communication skills (Mandarin & English) with ability to handle client interaction
Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with disciplined control mindset and escalation awareness
Self-driven, adaptable, and willing to support role rotation across functions

Other Qualifications

Proven ability to leverage technology (e.g. SQL, Python, VBA, automation tools) to drive process improvement, enhance control efficiency, and reduce manual dependency is a strong advantage
Demonstrates continuous improvement mindset by identifying process gaps and enhancing operational efficiency
Able to work effectively across different functions through rotation, adapting quickly to new processes and responsibilities
