Job Description:
The Refresh CDD Proficiency Consultant (CPC) will be responsible for carrying out the delivery of CDD and Process changes into GBAM AML team globally to ensure consistency of approach across GBAM AML Refresh regions and functions. This role will have a strong alignment to regional GBAM AML Refresh Managers/ Leads, Operational Control, Refresh, Onboarding program delivery teams as well as the wider AML Policy and Standards, Implementation and Strategy, and technology teams supporting GBAM AML.
Responsibilities:
- Training development and delivery to ensure operational readiness for GBAM AML team for any new hires, new implementations, and procedural updates derived from changes to policy, technology adoption, process enhancements, and remediation of control weakness/gaps
- Ensure established training/communication/process review/governance routines and processes are understood as well as adhered to
- Coordinate with partners in other regions and LOBs to ensure partnership in global KYC initiatives
- Partner and work with CDD proficiency consultants to identify regional and global thematic quality issues and develop corresponding refresher topics to strengthen employee knowledge and performance
- Participate and manage regular CDD review forums/routines with fellow CDD proficiency consultants, Operations managers, Operational risk associates, AML Implementation and
- Strategy teams & Process Design teams to facilitate and identify process improvement opportunities
- Perform process gap analysis across GBAM AML functions and Regions to enable process standardization
- Review Global & regional Policy & Standards changes for people, process and technology impact
- Participates as SME in defining implementation strategy
- Provide SME guidance OR coordinate across SMEs to provide the guidance for LOB projects
- Assists as SME in remediation efforts from global and regional policies and standards for GBAM AML team
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience in banking or financial industry
- Preferably 1-2 years of experience in coaching and training environment
- Good understanding of AML/KYC/CDD operations environment and global / regional regulations
- Knowledge of industry policy and standards
- Proven ability to simplify CDD requirements for operational execution & improving
- Operational efficiency through working across multiple stakeholders, understanding global requirements and ability to provide practical & consistent solutions
- Proven stakeholder relationship/influence management skills to achieve swift adoption through close partnership
- Awareness and understanding of operational aspects of the products and services used by clients
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems
- Must be able to work in a matrix organization as well as manage interactions as all levels
- Strong Risk awareness (Inc. Operational, Compliance, Business & Reputational)
- Understands and respects cultural differences
- Team player and self-motivated
