Process Overview

The Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFC) Investigator performs end-to-end investigations across one or more lines of business relevant to the Investigators specific area of responsibility. In the investigative role, the Investigator conducts routine to complex investigations, including money laundering, or terrorist financing.

Job Description

Responsibilities for this role include completing investigations while ensuring cases meet or exceed closure and quality metrics, reporting facts of the investigation to assist in identifying potential operational or compliance risks, and completing Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) in a timely and accurate manner for submission to regulators and/or law enforcement. This role may partner with GFC Risk Management, front line units or other stakeholders to resolve investigations. This role may ultimately report to any number of investigations teams across consumer AML.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage proficiency, quality, and capability-development programs for employees.
  • Monitor employee performance, quality scores, and proficiency metrics to identify development opportunities.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, feedback discussions, and performance reviews.
  • Develop and implement training plans based on quality findings, business needs, and skill gaps.
  • Partner with operational managers, quality teams, and stakeholders to drive performance improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze performance data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure employees meet organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Track progress on coaching action plans and measure effectiveness through defined KPIs.
  • Support onboarding and continuous learning initiatives for new and existing employees.
  • Create and maintain coaching materials, proficiency frameworks, and best practice guides
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and calibration meetings.
  • Prepare and present performance reports for senior management.

Requirements:

Education

  • Graduate / PG (any stream) preferably from Finance stream or MBA Finance / Banking & Accountancy

Experience Range

  • Minimum Years Business & Functional Experience: 12 - 14 Years
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience with AML Investigations, Financial Crime Transaction Monitoring, Risk, or Compliance experience and/or knowledge of financial crimes typologies; financial services, investigative service, or law enforcement

Certifications (Preferred) : ACAMS - Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists
