The Financial Institutions Group (FIG') team provides strategic and event-driven advisory and capital raising services to leading banks, insurers, asset managers, specialty finance companies, fintechs and other financial institutions. The team advises clients across M&A, equity and debt capital markets, balance sheet optimization and broader strategic financing solutions.
The Australian FIG team works with a broad range of financial institution clients, leveraging Bank of America's global sector expertise, product capabilities and cross-border connectivity to deliver tailored strategic advice and execution across some of the largest and most high-profile transactions in the sector in Australia.
We require an Associate to join our market leading Financial Institutions Group team in Australia as it continues to grow.
Job Description
- Participate in the execution of equity and debt financing and M&A transactions
- Perform in-depth financial, valuation, product and industry analysis, and due diligence
- Prepare pitch books, client presentations and live deal materials
- Build financial models
- Attend client meetings
- Help to generate ideas and opportunities for new and existing clients
- Train and mentor junior bankers (Analysts) as they develop core investment banking skill sets
- Learn from, and work with, teams consisting of professionals drawn from across the business, including senior bankers within your group, experts in other areas of the firm and colleagues from around the globe
Requirements
- Investment Banking experience ideally within Financial Institutions, FIG coverage, M&A or corporate finance
- Outstanding academic achievement
- Strong financial analysis / financial modeling skills
- Detailed oriented with strong quantitative and analytical skills
- A bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of investment banking, corporate finance, M&A, modelling/valuation or consulting experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
