Job Description:
We are looking to hire a Director level Senior Technology Manager in Post Trade Technology in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The team delivers critical regional and global technology solutions supporting our business partners, including Global Markets Operations, across transaction processing, settlements, asset servicing, and post-trade lifecycle management for equities and fixed income products.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the technology strategy, delivery execution, and platform modernization initiatives within the Post Trade domain. The successful candidate will lead high-performing application development teams across multiple locations, partner closely with business, operations, and technology stakeholders, and oversee the delivery of a diverse portfolio of initiatives spanning business growth, regulatory compliance, risk reduction, resilience, and operational efficiency.
The role requires a strong technology leader who can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, influence senior stakeholders, and drive engineering excellence across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, delivery, and support of strategic Post Trade technology platforms supporting global markets operations.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Business, Operations, Technology, Risk, and Compliance to define priorities and deliver strategic outcomes.
- Build and lead high-performing engineering teams through talent development, coaching, and succession planning.
- Provide technology leadership in solution architecture, engineering practices, and platform modernization initiatives.
- Drive end-to-end execution of complex business, regulatory, and risk management programs across the APAC region.
- Collaborate with global technology and architecture teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and globally aligned solutions.
- Partner with SRE and infrastructure teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Define and execute technology roadmaps to enhance business capabilities, reduce risk, and improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience of managing development teams. Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Understanding of Scrum and Agile principles and practices. Knowledge of Test Driven Development practices including continual integration.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels across the organization.
- Strong business acumen and process knowledge in the Equity domain, especially in the post-trade life cycle.
- Strong development expertise and understanding of event sourcing and CQRS principles.
- Experienced in using design patterns and following best software engineering practices.
- Familiar with SDLC automation tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, GitHub, Artifactory and Ansible.
Desired Skills:
- Experience leading regulatory, market infrastructure, or transformation initiatives within Capital Markets.
- Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), observability platforms, and production stability practices.
- Experience adopting AI-enabled software development tools and engineering productivity solutions.
