Overview
We are looking to add a systematic trader to the High Yield Credit Trading team. This role focuses on building and deploying automated market making strategies for both single name and portfolios of HY corporate bonds. The position sits within the broader High Yield trading desk with a mandate to scale systematic pricing capabilities and develop systematic trading strategies. You will work with traders, salespeople, and customers to drive PNL and market share gains within high yield markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Price client inquiry across multiple electronic and voice channels
  • Manage risk in the largest book on the High Yield Desk through single line voice trading and cross asset hedging
  • Monitor live strategies, with focus on PnL attribution, drawdown control, and risk exposures
  • Research and develop quantitative models for corporate bond returns and pricing in partnership with QSG and Technology groups
  • Partner closely with HY traders to codify discretionary views into systematic frameworks
  • Build and enhance backtesting tools, signal generation pipelines, and performance analytics
  • Work with large, often noisy datasets including TRACE data
  • Contribute to automation and scaling of trading workflows across the desk

Qualifications

  • 2 to 7 years of experience in systematic trading or quantitative research
  • Strong understanding of markets with credit experience a plus
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Ability to develop trading signals or models in a research or production environment
  • Solid foundation in statistics, time series analysis, and data science techniques
  • Familiarity with market microstructure, particularly in OTC credit markets, is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner with discretionary traders

Pay range

$130,000.00 - $225,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
