Responsibilities
- Maintain responsibility for developing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business goals.
- Ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
- Code solutions and unit tests, and ensure the solution integrates successfully into the overall application or system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces.
- Contribute to story refinement and define requirements.
- Participate in and guide the team in estimating work necessary to realize a story or requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
- Perform spikes or proofs of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
- Code solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement or story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
- Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, and business) in designing and developing client requirements.
- Assist the team in resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
- Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, and performance tests).
- Analyze test reports, identify any test issues or errors, and triage the underlying cause.
- Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
- Participate in, contribute to, and coach team members in delivery and release (CI-CD) events such as branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge or conflict resolution, and release notes.
- Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
Required Skills & Experience
- Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related: and
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
- Must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Designing and developing data-driven, low-latency, and high-throughput backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java, Python, Ruby, Go, and TypeScript, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high availability and write unit, integration and performance tests with Junit;
- Developing and consuming RESTful APIs, integrating applications with SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure data consistency and efficient query performance;
- Building and deploying containerized applications using Docker, orchestrated with Kubernetes, including Amazon EKS to support scalable and resilient microservices architectures;
- Architecting event-driven and pub/sub systems using cloud-based messaging services of SQS and SNS to enable asynchronous processing and loosely coupled system design;
- Utilizing cloud compute and storage services of EC2, S3, and ECR, implementing infrastructure as code with CloudFormation, and configuring auto-scaling and load balancing for high availability; and,
- Implementing real-time monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies with CloudWatch monitoring solutions to proactively detect, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and roles to enforce secure authentication.

Pay and benefits information
Pay range
$152,300.00 - $162,300.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
