Job Description

As a Benefits Strategist, you will own and execute the day-to-day administration of our employee benefits programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a seamless experience for our team members. You will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners to manage enrollments, payroll interactions, file feeds, and reporting. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives on executing processes efficiently while contributing to the smooth operation of our Total Rewards programs.  

This full-time position reports to the Senior Manager of Total Rewards and is expected to work in a hybrid model, which currently includes Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in-office. 

What you’ll do:  

  • Manage the day-to-day administration of benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and voluntary benefits 
  • Oversee the operations of leave administration, ensuring payroll is accurately updated, team members understand how to apply for disability benefits and federal protections, and providing a high-touch, guided experience for team members through the process 
  • Collaborate with team members individually to walk them through benefits and leave processes as they come up, answering questions and ensuring a seamless experience 
  • Support administration of our self-funded medical plan, including coordination with carriers, reconciliation, and team member communications 
  • Maintain and update the company intranet with benefits information, ensuring content is accurate, up to date, and easy to digest 
  • Assist in planning and executing benefits communications, including enrollment reminders, plan updates, and educational materials 
  • Support the development and execution of our wellness program, including coordinating initiatives, tracking participation, and helping build engaging programs for team members 
  • Partner with Total Rewards team, Finance, and external partners to ensure accurate data, reporting, and compliance across benefit programs 
  • Assist with compiling and analyzing benefit spending on a monthly basis to ensure we’re meeting financial goals 
  • Research local, state, and federal laws to ensure compliance and industry standards 
  • Ensure compliance as it relates to required postings, emergency action plans, handbook updates, company trainings, and other projects 
  • Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the team member experience

What you bring to the table:  

  • 2+ years hands on benefits administration experience 
  • HRIS proficiency 
  • HR and Benefits compliance awareness 
  • Self-funded medical plan experience (highly preferred) 
  • Leave administration experience (highly preferred) 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization 
  • Strong follow-through and accountability 
  • Professionalism and discretion with confidential information 
  • Effective collaboration and communication

The base pay range for this position is: $66,000 to $83,000. Please note that placement within the posted salary range is based on several factors, including geographic location, experience, skills, alignment with role requirements and other job-related factors. It is uncommon for offers to be made at the top of the range, as this typically reflects a candidate who exceeds all role requirements and brings significant, directly applicable experience. We benchmark our pay ranges against current external data sources and regularly review compensation for our team members.
