POSITION TITLE: Sr Business Analyst; Customer Analytics

Backtountry.com is seeking a data-driven analyst to support all customer-facing operating teams, with analysis poised to promote decision making. Our customers are our core focus as we look to build out our Loyalty program, continuously develop the website and lean on Gearheads as our key differentiator, and this role will assist those teams in reporting on, forecasting, and analyzing how best to accomplish these goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with Finance and senior leadership to gain buy-in and alignment on the customer analytics roadmap
- Provide insights to Finance, Product, Marketing and Customer Experience teams senior leadership to gain buy-in and alignment on the customer analytics roadmap
- Improve customer targeting operations and impact by partnering with cross-functional teams to create reports and visualizations that bring actionable insights to like for operational leaders
- Create and maintain various forecasting models to measure business performance\
- Develop, test and present findings of data driven models
- Report regularly on our customer-focused metrics and KPIs
- Turn numbers and data into clear, concise recommendations to help senior leaders make data driven decisions

- Experience creating insights, providing solutions and exposing possible areas of opportunity
- Completed end-to-end data analytics projects
- Experience in designing and analyzing A/B tests.
- An understanding of confidence intervals and noise reduction techniques.
- Able to take ownership of projects, think creatively and provide independent point-of-view
- Balance detail orientation with big picture thinking
- 3+ years of applied experience performing data analytics
- Experience using SQL to create data sets and creating visualizations
- Basic statistical knowledge and usage to drive business decisions
- Experience with Excel, BigQuery, Looker, Amperity a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.)
