At Autodesk, we do what no other company can: we help our customers design and make anything. As we continue to transform how customers experience Autodesk, we are investing in insight-driven product development, seamless digital experiences, and AI-powered innovation that help people and teams achieve meaningful outcomes faster. This moment requires us to work in new ways-using AI internally to improve how we operate, make decisions, and deliver experiences, while also building trusted AI capabilities that help our customers automate repetitive work, accelerate creativity, and unlock smarter, more connected Design and Make workflows. To deliver on that vision, we need exceptional contributors and leaders who are curious, adaptable, customer-focused, and excited to help shape the future of work at Autodesk.
Position Overview
The Senior Principal Experience Operations Program Manager is a critical role within the AEC Experience Foundations organization, accountable for operational oversight of experience execution for a new product experience. This role ensures a consistently high-quality end-to-end user experience across Design, Product, Engineering, Research, and User Success by driving alignment, rigor, and follow-through across complex, cross-functional work.
As a key partner to a senior leadership team, this person ensures leaders have the visibility, context, and support needed to stay aligned on the North Star strategy for the product, manage escalations, make informed decisions, and oversee progress across interconnected workstreams. The Senior Principal Experience Operations Program Manager serves as the connective tissue across those workstreams, maintaining a clear pulse on execution, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs, and stepping in where needed to help unblock delivery and keep teams moving forward with clarity and accountability.
This role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment and can help define and manage an interim operating model model while helping shape a more stable long-term team structure. This person may also manage external vendors and partners to ensure high-quality outcomes, alignment with internal teams, and the flexibility to adapt as program and product needs evolve over time.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational oversight for experience execution across Design, Product, Engineering, Research, and User Success for a new product experience
- Partner closely with senior leaders to ensure they have the visibility, context, and materials needed to understand escalations, make informed decisions, and stay aligned on North Star product strategy
- Drive alignment on priorities, milestones, decisions, and dependencies across leadership and working teams
- Create connective tissue across multiple workstreams, maintaining a strong pulse on overall program health and stepping in where needed to unblock progress
- Ensure experience vision and design intent are clearly documented, communicated, and carried through implementation to delivery
- Establish and maintain effective operating rhythms that enable high-quality outcomes without creating unnecessary process
- Track and manage risks, gaps, escalations, and trade-offs, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate leadership visibility
- Coordinate workflows, handoffs, and decision-making across teams to support a cohesive end-to-end customer experience
- Partner with design, product, and engineering leaders to ensure experience decisions are actionable, feasible, and executed with fidelity
- Monitor progress against key commitments and follow through to ensure decisions translate into measurable execution
- Track progress of milestones and dependencies with rigor
- Create weekly status reports to shore up progress, celebrations, challenges, mitigations, and asks
- Operate effectively in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment while balancing immediate delivery needs with longer-term organizational design
- Manage external vendors and partners to drive quality results, maintain alignment with internal teams, and adapt execution as needs evolve
- Build leadership confidence and buy-in around partner plans, deliverables, and execution approaches where needed
- Improve team rigor through scalable tools, practices, and frameworks that strengthen consistency, accountability, and visibility
- Support continuous improvement in how experience work is planned, reviewed, and delivered across the organization
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and workflows where appropriate to improve operational efficiency, visibility, decision-making, and execution quality
