Software QA Engineer - Fusion & Moldflow Simulation

Position Overview
Autodesk is looking for a Software QA Engineer to join the team building the simulation experiences within Autodesk Fusion and Autodesk Moldflow - solutions that help engineers around the world design, validate, and manufacture better products. In this role you will safeguard the quality of complex engineering-simulation software (CAE), combining your engineering background with modern software-testing practices.
You will design and execute manual and automated tests, validate simulation results against engineering expectations, and work side-by-side with developers, fellow QA engineers, Product Owners, and your Scrum Master to ship reliable, high-quality features. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong mechanics/simulation foundation who wants to grow into the software-engineering and test-automation space.
You will report to the QA Manager and be part of an agile, cross-functional Scrum team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, write, and maintain manual and automated test casesfor Fusion and Moldflow simulation workflows
  • Validate and interpret simulation results(e.g. FEA/FEM, plastics/injection-molding analyses) to confirm engineering correctness, not just software behavior
  • Plan and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end testing; identify, document, and track defects to resolution
  • Present test results and quality statusto the team and stakeholders in a clear, structured way
  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies- sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Collaborate closely with developers, other QA engineers, Product Owners, and the Scrum Masterto define acceptance criteria and improve product quality
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, automation coverage, and quality practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • Engineering background with a solid foundation in strength of materials, theoretical mechanics, or a related field
  • University degree (Master's preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Civil Engineering, Power/Energy Engineering, or a related discipline -or equivalent practical experience
  • Good understanding of engineering simulation / CAE principles, e.g. the Finite Element Method (FEM/FEA) or other numerical methods, and the ability tointerpret simulation results
  • Fluent written and spoken English - minimum B2 level
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and ramp up effectively in new domains
  • Genuine interest in developing software-engineering competencies

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus points for)

  • Hands-on experience with Autodesk Fusion and/or Autodesk Moldflow (or comparable CAE/CAD tools)
  • Knowledge of injection molding technology and manufacturing-process fundamentals
  • Familiarity with software-testing concepts and practices(test planning, regression testing, defect reporting)
  • Basic programming/scripting skills( e.g. Python or similar) for automation, data analysis, or post-processing of results
