Senior Software QA Engineer
Job Requisition ID #
25WD93709
Position Overview
At Autodesk, we empower innovators to design and make a better world. Fusion is our flagship cloud platform that brings together CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB into a single, integrated experience used by millions of engineers and designers worldwide.
We're looking for an Intermediate to Senior Software QA Engineer to join our Fusion team in Kraków (hybrid model). In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping quality across a functional domain - from defining test strategies and driving automation, to influencing engineering best practices and championing quality within Agile teams.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership, where your work directly impacts how customers design and build real-world products.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies (planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives) to understand requirements, estimate effort, and plan quality activities
- Partner with engineers and product managers to continuously improve QA practices and embed quality across the development lifecycle
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases at UI and API levels, including functional, regression, workflow, and performance testing
- Build, maintain, and scale test automation, including API automation
- Perform manual and automated testing, selecting the right approach based on risk and value
- Identify redundant or high-value test scenarios and proactively drive their automation
- Own quality for your area: track risks, communicate quality status, and raise issues early
- Investigate issues that may block delivery and collaborate with teams to resolve them
- Support customer-reported issues and provide feedback on defects and usability concerns
- Take accountability for quality deliverables, timelines, and outcomes
- Lead by example: mentor teammates, share knowledge, and help grow a strong quality culture
- Act as a quality champion, promoting shared ownership of quality across the team
Mnimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Mid to senior-level experience in software testing, with a strong focus on API testing and automation
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and scripting
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams (Jira or similar tools preferred)
- Basic to solid programming skills (e.g. Java or Python)
- Very good English communication skills (written and spoken)
- A proactive mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn beyond your current expertise
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team
Preferred qualifications
- Experience testing CAD, engineering, or industrial design software (2D/3D, assemblies, mechanical parts)
- Exposure to ML/AI-based features or AI-driven applications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub)
- Background in modern Agile development environments
