Role Summary
The Senior Account Executive, Regional Accounts is responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of large, strategic regional accounts. This role drives complex sales engagements, develops long-term customer relationships, and delivers differentiated value propositions aligned to customer business outcomes. The position requires strong executive presence, advanced sales execution skills, and the ability to collaborate across internal teams, partners, and geographies to drive sustained growth and customer success.
Key Responsibilities
Account & Customer Management
- Own and grow a portfolio of large and strategic regional accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and expansion.
- Develop and execute account strategies that address customer business needs and long-term success.
Sales Execution
- Lead complex, end-to-end sales cycles including discovery, presentations, demonstrations, negotiations, and deal closure.
- Position compelling, value-based solutions that align customer priorities with the company's offerings.
Strategic Customer Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders, influencing decisions through insight, expertise, and credibility.
- Identify expansion and growth opportunities using data-driven insights and customer intelligence.
Reporting & Business Insights
- Prepare detailed sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
Mentorship & Leadership
- Mentor and support junior sales team members, sharing best practices and contributing to overall team capability and performance.
Account Team Unit (ATU) & Ecosystem Collaboration
- Co-sell & Specialists: Partner with technical and product specialists to co-develop scalable, high-impact customer solutions.
- Technical Discovery: Collaborate with technical leads in high-growth accounts to refine messaging, ensure solution fit, and articulate a compelling value proposition.
- Partner Coordination: Work closely with partners and Partner Managers to manage strategic engagements and deliver cohesive customer support.
- Cross-Regional Execution: Coordinate across regional and multinational sales teams, sharing best practices and aligning on large, complex accounts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise or strategic sales, account management, or business development.
- 5+ years of experience managing large, complex customer accounts with multi-stakeholder buying groups.
- Proven success leading complex sales cycles and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong customer-facing communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and insights to drive account strategy and decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling technology, SaaS, or enterprise software solutions.
- Background working with regional, national, or multinational customer accounts.
- Experience in co-selling models with partners and cross-functional internal teams.
- Demonstrated mentorship or informal leadership experience within sales teams.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, forecasting tools, and value-based selling methodologies.

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $178,700 and $320,430. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
