Role Overview

The Program Manager will play a critical role in driving complex, cross-functional programs that support strategic and operational priorities across the organization. This role is designed as a flexible, high-impact resource that can be deployed across a range of initiatives-from improving internal processes and planning rhythms to enabling execution of key leadership priorities.

The scope of work spans both strategic and hands-on execution. In some cases, the Program Manager will lead programs end-to-end; in others, they will partner with leaders and teams to strengthen program structure, drive alignment, and ensure consistent delivery.

This role requires a strong operator who can bring structure to ambiguity, connect work across teams, and drive programs forward with clarity, discipline, and momentum.

Responsibilities

  • Translate ambiguous goals and business needs into clear program structures, plans, and deliverables
  • Lead programs from planning through execution, including scope definition, milestone tracking, risk management, and change control
  • Drive program consistency by establishing and reinforcing best practices, tools, and operating rhythms
  • Support prioritization and sequencing of work across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Coordinate day-to-day program activities, including working sessions, stakeholder reviews, and decision forums
  • Identify dependencies, surface risks, and proactively remove blockers to maintain program momentum
  • Ensure alignment across cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Operations
  • Improve program effectiveness by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance planning, and increase visibility
  • Establish and maintain program reporting frameworks, including dashboards, status updates, and performance tracking
  • Contribute to broader organizational operations such as planning cycles, forecasting support, and rhythm-of-business activities
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to support execution of strategic initiatives
  • Communicate program status, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Build strong working relationships across a matrixed, global organization

Key Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of experience in program management, project management, or business/operations roles
  • Proven experience leading multiple complex initiatives simultaneously from planning through delivery
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leadership teams on complex initiatives, including driving alignment, surfacing risks, managing escalations, and enabling effective decision-making
  • Experience working closely with high-impact customers
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed organization
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, and execution
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and synthesis skills, with the ability to support both executive-level discussions and working team execution
  • Experience managing external vendors or strategic partners to deliver high-quality outcomes in close coordination with internal teams
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $98,000 and $143,000. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
