Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team. This new team member will support the data needs of the Product Development & Manufacturing Solutions (PDMS) Organization, working within a robust ecosystem that includes DBT, Pyspark, Python, Airflow, Snowflake, Hive, and AWS. Our ideal candidate is an experienced data engineer skilled in handling data warehousing challenges. You should be eager to learn new technologies and bring a fresh perspective to the team. Responsibilities
- Apply a product-focused mindset to understand business requirements and architect scalable, extensible systems
- Participate in or lead design reviews to evaluate and select the most suitable technologies
- Develop ETL processes and data processing workflows for diverse projects using the latest technology stack, including tools like Snowflake, dbt, Apache Spark, and more
- Build data quality tracking mechanisms, design solutions to measure data quality, detect data issues and anomalies, and address inevitable changes in data ingestion and processing
- Review code for best practices, including accuracy, testability, and efficiency
- Establish best engineering practices through design/code reviews and process improvements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience with ETL/ELT tools and data curation
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with strong data warehousing concepts and SQL skills, including dimensional modeling and relational databases
- Familiarity with Snowflake or similar tools for data ingestion
- Committed to enhancing knowledge to improve existing applications
- Possess a strong desire to uncover the "why" behind business needs and processes
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DBT, Pyspark, and Airflow
- Knowledge of Spark, Hadoop 2.0, and its ecosystem
- Experience with automation tools/frameworks like Git and Jenkins
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum Team

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $86,600 and $127,050. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
