Position Overview
This role serves as Chief of Staff to the Vice President and General Manager, Autodesk Education and is a senior leadership position at the center of Autodesk's Education business. This Senior Manager will operate as a true extension of the VP, helping set direction, drive execution against the highest priority initiatives, ensure the business runs with rigor, clarity, and momentum, and that our team is living Autodesk's cultural values.
In addition to serving as Chief of Staff, this role leads a small but highly leveraged Program Management Office focused on the most critical Education initiatives. The role is highly visible, works closely with senior leaders across the division and Autodesk more broadly, including Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and Operations, and plays a defining role in how the Education business supports Autodesk's long term growth objectives.

Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic thought partner and operational extension of the VP, Education, helping shape priorities, sequencing, and decision making
- Drive clarity on Education strategy, goals, and tradeoffs, ensuring alignment across leadership and functional teams
- Prepare and synthesize materials for executive reviews, operating forums, and key leadership moments
- Ensure follow through on critical decisions, commitments, and cross functional dependencies
- Serve as a trusted connector across the Education leadership team, surfacing risks early and helping resolve issues before they slow progress
- Represent the business with peers and key stakeholders across the company
- Lead a small, high impact Program Management Office responsible for driving Autodesk's most important Education initiatives
- Establish clear operating mechanisms, milestones, and accountability for complex, cross functional programs
- Prioritize initiatives based on strategic impact, capacity, and business outcomes, not activity
- Create visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies for senior leaders and stakeholders
- Continuously improve how Education programs are planned, executed, and measured
- Represent Education in cross enterprise forums and initiatives
- Build strong relationships with leaders across Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and Operations
- Bring an enterprise mindset while advocating for the unique needs and opportunities of the Education business
- Model clear thinking, strong judgment, and calm execution in a fast paced, highly visible environment
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, program management, or related leadership roles
- Demonstrated experience operating as a Chief of Staff or in a highly trusted role supporting a senior executive
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross functional initiatives with significant business impact
- Strong business judgment, structured thinking, and executive communication skills
- Experience operating in product led organizations and partnering closely with Product and Engineering teams
- Ability to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting or operating within an end-to-end business or GM like model
- Background in education, B2B SaaS, or mission driven businesses
- Experience building or leading PMO or program management functions
- Comfort navigating ambiguity, competing priorities, and evolving strategy

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $121,000 and $216,590. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
