Position Overview

As part of the ALP Channel Team, you will take a leading role within India, working with our distributor partners to recruit, enable, influence, coach and motivate ALPs in alignment with Autodesk strategic priorities. You will report to the Director, Global Autodesk Learning Partner Programs. You will be a key stakeholder in the development and execution of joint quarterly and annual plans that drive expansion and new growth opportunities for our ALPs in India. You will also be involved in identifying and formulating recommendations to help solve ALPs' business challenges which limit expansion and growth of their Autodesk Education business. You will act as the liaison between Autodesk Education Experiences, our distributors and ALPs to facilitate effective joint execution of plans, open communications, and healthy business relationships.

The role will need strong knowledge of channel partner management and processes, as well as influencing and relationship building skills to motivate and align with ALPs in India. Ultimately, a successful ALP Channel Manager is viewed as a trusted advisor and partner by our distributors and ALPs and a key contributor to driving efforts to scale Autodesk in the Education space in India. We work in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the ALPs businesses, organizations and industries/customers served to better align and leverage the ALPs strengths
  • Provide guidance and input for the development of quarterly plans; assist and enable distributors and coach / mentor ALPs with the execution of defined quarterly plans
  • Ensure assigned distributors and ALPs understand product and marketing information and can represent Autodesk in relevant industries, products, services, and strategies
  • Ensure distributors and ALPs are effectively utilizing Autodesk tools as part of quarterly execution plans
  • Formulate new program and/or incentive proposals to link ALP business efforts with AEX strategic goals
  • Assess distributor and ALP proposals and opportunities against strategic priorities
  • Align various stakeholders within Autodesk to the work being done by our distributors and ALPs in India
  • Identify causation of ALP over/under performance and modify plans accordingly
  • Develop recommendations to improve ALPs' strategies, coverage, and capabilities, specifically as it relates to supporting educators and students

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-years of channel experience
  • Professional fluency in English and local languages as needed
  • Knowledge of channel management principles
  • Understanding of channel partner business models
  • Strong ability to operate in areas of ambiguity
  • High levels of professional confidence and business acumen, with proven ability to influence, motivate and garner support for business objectives, and drive timely decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and trust, especially with broader Autodesk Education organization, our distributors and Autodesk Learning Partners
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills and strong executive presentation skills, comfortable presenting to executive audiences
  • Must be adept at strategic prioritization and have an ability to juggle priorities consistently, and drive results
  • Great judgment and excellent analytical problem-solving skills
  • Some travel required (up to 50%)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for education, technology and knowledge of software, IT and Industry 4.0 technology trends
  • Understanding of cloud and SaaS technology and the business landscape.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk solutions and industries served
  • Experience with building and extending programs / initiatives from concepts to scale.
  • Has worked in a highly matrix environment with several stakeholders across organizations
  • Has excellent skills in Microsoft Office tools
