Position Overview

In this role, the focus will be on promoting a 'Platform First' philosophy, fostering the development of a platform that is cohesive, API-accessible, and ensures a uniform user experience.
As a Associate Manager of Software Engineering, you will lead a team of software engineers responsible for building and delivering innovative solutions into our common platform. As an ideal candidate, you have led teams developing cross-platform desktop solutions especially in a fast-paced, agile environment. You know how to build and guide highly effective and high-performing teams, while inspiring them to remain at the cutting edge.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers to ensure execution and unlock creativity
- Take full ownership of initiative and deliver it end to end while working with various stakeholders
- Develop staff by coaching, facilitating career aspirations and providing growth opportunities
- Provide insight, feedback, and recommendations to senior management regarding the development, capabilities, and potential of current and future software projects
- Provide leadership to achieve high standards of done in areas of quality, security, scalability, user experience
- Aid in the design and building of solutions, frameworks, automation, and orchestration for a broad range of applications and infrastructures, including cloud services, and desktop
- Build collaborative partnerships with the Software Architects, Technical leads, Product Owners, Product Managers and Experience Designers
- Drive Engineering best practices within the team to ensure efficiency, maintainability, and high quality in all software development projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience (MS in Computer Science or a related degree is preferred)
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience with relevant experience in supervision of any technical execution among team
- Relevant experience building cross-platform Desktop/GUI applications on Windows/Linux/Mac
- Strong experience with desktop technologies and tools such as C++, Python, Go,
- Qt, Jenkins, GitHub
- Proven experience with Scrum and agile development processes and
- methodologies
- Proactive, quick decision maker with excellent communication and written skills
- Expert experience with Scrum and Agile development processes and methodologies
- Experience working with remote teams and other cross-functional stakeholders
