Design Ops Specialist

As a Design Ops Specialist, you'll be the connector bringing people, processes, and platforms together. You'll help design teams stay in sync, keep projects moving, and create the clarity and structure that make collaboration feel effortless.

This role is built for someone who loves turning plans into action keeping teams aligned, tracking the details, and driving work forward to real results.

• Shape and scale the design operating system: Create the structures and shared patterns that help design teams stay connected, efficient, and aligned. Partner with design leadership to define the rhythms, tools, and ways of working that drive consistency and quality across platform and admin experiences.

• Coordinate cross-team alignment: Strengthen collaboration across design, product, and engineering by codifying shared practices and rituals that improve visibility, accountability, and impact.
• Integrate AI into design operations: Partner with design leaders to embed emerging technologies into tools and workflows driving automation, insight, and operational excellence.
• Drive clarity through systems-level insights: Use data and qualitative feedback to surface patterns, remove friction, and identify opportunities to elevate connected design work across teams.
• Deliver with precision and adaptability: Plan, track, and execute complex initiatives, balancing long-term systems evolution with short-term operational improvements.

Your background

You have experience supporting design or product teams through operations, production, or enablement roles, connecting people and processes to make great work happen smoothly.

You understand how design and engineering intersect and you thrive in distributed, cross-functional environments where communication and coordination make all the difference.

You're motivated by structure, clarity, and the people they empower.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $161,100 - $210,325

Zone B: $145,800 - $190,350

Zone C: $134,100 - $175,075

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
