Role and responsibilitiesPlan Execution
Actively seeks alignment and benchmarks of the own policies against relevant organization units.
Performance Management
Analyzes the performance management system, facilitate performance dialogues and help translate to the teams in their own organization. Coordinates and ensures execution of plan.
Is hands on and partner in implementation of performance management and challenges the business performance.
Process improvement
Leads process improvement projects, applying data analysis to identify root causes of inefficiencies.
Develops and implements more complex process enhancements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence goals.
Ensures that process improvements are implemented in the organization, in process descriptions, systems and architecture.
Drive the San Diego and Korea factories toward achieving their Operational Excellence (OE) maturity targets by embedding OE maturity elements in alignment with each factory's strategic objectives as well as overall direction of the 3 sites.
Drive San Diego & Korea factories in their journey to embrace FLOW manufacturing, and its key characteristics as a tool to address factory challenges (Border of Line, Pull Planning, Pitches in takt, Supermarkets, Milk Run, & Standard work).
Problem Solving
Ensure that problem solving becomes an integral part of daily operations, by facilitating problem solving across teams together with groups leads to resolve operational excellence related challenges. Focus on Kaizen & A3 deployment.
Standards Development & Adoption
Manage the resistance against standards and give input to the deployment lead for the sector deployment.
Implement and use standards for the deployment in the teams. Creates standards in cross sector teams for Best Know Methods (BKM).
Culture & Community
Transform mindsets and provide management coaching where neededto secure continuous improvement efforts beyond project activities and change the way of working to a lean way of working.
Assists the leaders to create and implement their lean way of working, secured in the system of the organization.
Drives topics within the lean community by setting up connections between teams.

Foster a culture of Continuous improvement where CI targets are aligned with factories' strategic direction.
Stakeholder management
Actively engages with stakeholders (sector leads) by identifying stakeholders, assessing their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these to support the communication of business goals and decisions.
People development & Leadership
Building capabilities at all levels, especially in leadership, ensures that there are competent leaders who guide teams through changes and drive operational excellence agenda forward.
Develop and provides training where needed to grow knowledge on lean behaviors and thinking in the organization.
Serve as strategic coach to factory leadership, guiding decision-making processes that align with long-term operational goals.
Program and Project Management
Lead cross-team projects that further the lean implementation.
Lead the development and execution of the department's operational strategy and improvement roadmap, ensuring alignment with factory goals and breakthrough initiatives in accordance with San Diego & Korea factories Hoshin Kanri priorities.
Define, lead, and report on process improvement initiatives (Lean, CI, Automation) that drive efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughput.
Foster a culture of key performance indicators (KPI) ownership by ensuring key functions define, manage, and take accountability for performance metrics aligned with strategic objectives.
Follow up on KPIs to measure the success of Lean initiatives and report progress to management.
Education and experience
- You bring a strong educational background and relevant experience to the ASML Lean Expert role. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is valued. You have experience in manufacturing or operations environments, especially in global organizations. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems and data analysis tools is important. Previous experience leading improvement projects is essential for the ASML Lean Expert.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Manufacturing, or Process Improvement in a high-volume, technically driven organizations.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional projects and driving operational improvements.
- Proven track record in Lean Six Sigma (green or black belt), Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, and other continuous improvement methodologies.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
$87,750-131,625
Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
