Your role:
Drives estimates for GPO during RFI and RFQ phases
- Support RFI / RFQ phases by direct customer interactions together with regional teams for German, EU and Asian customers
- Ensures that offer to the customer will maximize reuse of the platform
- Feedback customer wishes and business intelligence to the platform development and product teams
- Manage assigned pursuits to maximize reusability of the Platform
- Proactively escalate if necessary to Program directors to minimize risks and maximize ROI
- Serve as a single point of contact for internal and external communications at both technical and executive levels on behalf of GPO
Lead and Drive end to end responsibility on customer demos in pursuit phase
- Hands on work on the demo vehicle - must be comfortable in flashing latest SW image, debug and troubleshoot with test engineers as needed
- Provide feedback on the drive to the development teams and support calibration to tune performance as needed, in the interest of minimal interruption to the development team
- Negotiate and motivate across cross-functional & cross-organization teams. Ability to identify the root cause of a problem, developing a corrective action plan, and lead the teams to an effective resolution.
- Manage end to end dependencies across all functions to ensure a successful demo
- Ability to collaborate and get results through influence without friction and disruption is highly valued
- Serve as a single point of contact for internal and external communications at both technical and executive levels on behalf of GPO
Project Monitoring & Reporting:
- Create and maintain dashboards to track progress and timely closure of issues
- Monitor the customer requirement reviews, implementation and testing progress using Polarion or equivalent requirements management system
- Facilitate effective communication to drive alignment within the team as well as to a broad stakeholder and management leadership
- Coordinate engineering data collection and SW builds to support feature tuning and testing activities
Find and implement process improvements to increase productivity and execution excellence within the pursuits and demo execution phase
- Lead and improve existing product development and software release processes as applied to pursuits and demos; and collaborate with engineering and product management leaders to refine the workflows to improve efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with project development processes and organizational transformation initiatives
Team management
- Should more team members be hired for the scope, an ideal candidate should be able to manage their performance in addition to your own individual performance as well - this involves but is not limited to - coaching, proactive feedback, workload assignment for independent impact of each team member, assessment of workload and deliveries
- Actively work to reduce friction in your team's work streams and addressing escalations, before they get to skip level
Your background:
- Master's degree in Natural Science, Computer Science, Engineering Management or related technical field. PHD preferred
- Must have minimum of 8+ years working experience in product or feature development on hardware, software, and/or services
- Experience in budget management (ex. via Planview or equivalent) preferred but not necessary
- Strong motivation to learn new technologies like AI based approach to L2+ urban systems or Quantum computing
- Proven ability to drive full ownership of delivery for a specific product or demo in high stakes environments
- Proven ability to clearly communicate program information to stakeholders at various levels of the organization (written and verbal)
- Must demonstrate a track record in problem solving & negotiating skills
- Ability to speak, to read and to write English and German
