Systems Certification Coordinator & CE Manager

Main Accountabilities
- Coordinate product certification activities for all APTIV CS product lines.
- Act as the main interface for certification and regulatory compliance topics towards customers, authorities, and certification bodies.
- Coordinate certification requirements with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
- Manage KBA approvals and support E-type approval processes.
- Lead CE conformity activities, including the preparation and issuance of EU Declarations of Conformity.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and directives, including LVD, EMC, and RoHS requirements.
- Review technical documentation and assess product readiness for certification and market approval.
- Coordinate and lead product safety and regulatory risk assessments.
- Support development teams on regulatory, product safety, and compliance requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for product certification, product safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Support manufacturing plants during audits, inspections, and regulatory assessments.
- Drive continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and best practices within the global compliance community.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in product certification, regulatory compliance, and CE marking within the automotive or electrical industry.
- Knowledge of EU directives (LVD, EMC, RoHS) and international standards (CE, UL, E-Mark).
- Understanding of product safety requirements and risk assessment methods.
- Experience working with certification bodies, test laboratories, and regulatory authorities.
- Familiarity with KBA approval processes and E-type certification preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in an international environment.
- Automotive industry experience and knowledge of Automotive SPICE.
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
