Sr Material Financial Analyst

Sr Material Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial analysis and strategic support within a manufacturing environment, often involving budgeting, cost variance analysis, and reporting to guide financial decision-making

Role & Responsibilities:

• Analyze, report, and explain variances in material costs, work orders, and other operational areas.
• Support the Monthly/ annual forecast/budget process and long-term financial forecasts, often working closely with the FP&A Manager, Operations, and Plant Controllers.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports, ad-hoc reports, and performance metrics to management
• Monitor and control cost variances to help identify areas for cost optimization.
• Build and maintain financial models and forecasts to predict future financial performance.
• Perform reconciliations related to material and other financial data.
• Provide financial insights and analysis for strategic decision-making and be involved in the review of projects and proposals.

Skills and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA is often preferred.
• Proven experience in financial analysis, with a focus on cost accounting, variance analysis, and budgeting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP financial/data management systems is essential.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present to management
• Fluent in English and Spanish
