YOUR ROLE

As a senior engineering manager, you'll oversee a highly skilled team designing, innovating, and developing Simics simulation technologies.

In your daily job you will:

  • Manage team priorities and assignments.
  • Collaborate with senior developers and product managers to define, estimate, and plan feature development.
  • Work with an Agile Scrum Team and lead the team to design, implement, and refine feature development, testing, and processes.
  • Oversee project logistics and resource allocation.
  • Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs
  • Secure resources needed for teams to excel, including help to identify hardware needs, tools needs, dependencies, hiring needs, etc.
  • Help to create and oversee project budgets and engage in cost management strategies.
  • Communicate and engage with the field and customers on product and technology information.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders and departments.
  • Lead project initiatives within engineering.
  • Interfaces with customers for requirements and escalations.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • BSc or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Software Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of managing teams doing software development
  • 7+ years working in software development arena
  • Strong technical leadership, team building, and mentoring skills
  • Good personnel and project management skills
  • Good knowledge and understanding of embedded software technology and processes
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strategic thinker, with attention to detail
  • Flexible, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges
  • Organizational, planning, and documentation skills
  • Strong in using presentation software to explain complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
  • Past use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools a plus
  • Experience in managing multiple teams or a team of 10 or more
