Senior Engineering Leader - Pursuits
YOUR ROLE
• Provide strategic leadership for pursuit engineering teams, including experts in Software, Systems, and Hardware.
• Engage directly with customers to define product, quality, and timing requirements during the Pursuit Phase.
• Act as the primary engineering interface for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders (Product Management and Delivery) throughout pursuit activities.
• Offer expert consultancy for new platform and concept projects, shaping technology direction and architecture.
• Lead decision-making processes duringRFC/RFP/RFI/RFQ phases, ensuring alignment of engineering strategy with business objectives.
• Oversee technology selection (operating systems, software frameworks, MCUs, SoCs):
o Conduct requirements and market analysis
o Identify and evaluate suppliers
o Assess platforms for scalability and compliance with industry standards
• Drive effort and cost estimation across all engineering competencies.
• Define and approve feature maturity plans for the entire project lifecycle during the pursuit phase.
• Prepare and deliver engineering content for customer presentations and proposals.
• Mentor and guide engineering competency teams during the transition from quote phase to series development.
YOUR BACKGROUND
• 10-15 years of experience in embedded real-time engineering.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience as a System Architect in large-scale projects.
• Deep knowledge of hardware, SoCs, automotive safety, security, and quality standards.
• Proven experience managing globally distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of integration and functional testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with agile development and management methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills - ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise language for diverse audiences.
