Purchasing Program Leader

Your Role:
- Manage all SCM product line actions from quote to launch and throughout program life
- Drive all supplier/material cost (Hardware & 3rd party Software) related activities, throughout all project phases in order to attain Business Case requirements for the Product Line
- Ensure program profitability by supporting customer quoting process and acting as SCM lead (material champion) in support of winning new business
- Support target price definition during project pursuit. Identify new suppliers for innovative products. Lead supplier's RFQs for entire BOM and drive best material cost to support business needs to meet customer target.
- Work closely with Aptiv's category organization and customer solution engineering teams to support business needs
- Execute SCM Product Development Process (PDP) in coordination with related project team members & engineering teams to meet flawless launch objectives (Quality, cost, Timing, Operating Income & Revenue)
- Identify measures to meet/exceed material cost assumptions within project.
- Ensure consistency between global sourcing strategy & supplier nomination for owned products
- Promote & Identify cost reduction opportunities for owned products lines & work on its execution with project teams; built a multi-year productivity pipeline
- Influence SCM Category strategy development to meet the needs of the product line
- Participate in category planning and execution representing Product line needs
- Act as interface into the business & to Aptiv's supply chain organization
Your Background:
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or similar qualification.
- Minimum 5+ years business experience in Purchasing or SCM, Engineering, specifically in automotive industry.
- Proficiency in business finance to support business decisions
- Experience & knowledge of semiconductor market, key suppliers, products & trend is a plus
- Knowledge of understanding technical drawing is a plus
- Results Driven: Proven ability to get results in challenging environment
- Ability to Influence: Ability to communicate clearly and to present ideas and gain commitments that are crucial to the success of the business.
- Creative Thinker: Demonstrated ability to think innovatively, creatively to resolve problems.
- Written/verbal communication skills; ability to communicate at cross functional level
- • Teamwork: aware & understands international & virtual teamwork; foster strong cross-functional relationships
- Strong analytical, presentation & good negotiation skills
- Interested in understanding technical challenges and eager to learn
- Excellent computer skills with MS Office programs
- Strong proficiency in English
- Willingness to Travel
