YOUR ROLE

The Manufacturing Process Engineer is a professional responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes, which play a critical role in ensuring safe production coverage and compliance with the quality specifications of the products shipped to our customers. The Process Engineer ensures that operational controls are properly applied for each product and process.

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Attend MSD events and ensure that the process manufacturing flow is designed in compliance with plant standards.
  • Participate in supporting the achievement of FTQ, uptime, and scrap targets for each process.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools for the launch of manufacturing processes.
  • Develop, evaluate, and implement process equipment for welding, adhesive application, and final assembly.
  • Comply with Environmental, Health, Safety, Sustainability, and Energy Management requirements, and report any situation that may pose a risk.
  • Participate in Near Miss and Kaizen programs.
  • Complete all training programs assigned to the role.
  • Maintain ethical and professional conduct in all work-related activities.
  • Comply with the Internal Work Regulations and plant policies.
  • Meet customer requirements to ensure 100% product quality.
  • Fulfill responsibilities and functions assigned according to organizational changes and/or current company needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (completed) preferably in one of the following engineering fields: Electronics, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with suppliers, peers, and local and remote technical support groups.
  • Ability to program software for adhesive inspection and assembly equipment.
  • Ability to interpret electronic and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate - Advanced English.
  • Knowledge of structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Knowledge of PCB cutting processes, adhesive dispensing, wave & selective soldering, final assembly, Epson robots, vision systems, and final assembly processes.
  • Knowledge of applied statistical techniques, capability studies, measurement system analysis (MSA), and design of experiments (DOE).
  • Knowledge of core quality tools and interaction with the quality system.
  • Leadership skills for the development of continuous improvement projects and implementation of standard activities in manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Skills and knowledge related to developing maintenance tasks for new equipment.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA methodology and error-proofing (poka-yoke) methods.
