Lead Engineer DevOps

Major Accountabilities:

1. Conduct code quality assessments and security reviews to identify and address vulnerabilities and code defects early in the development lifecycle.
2. Implement and enforce coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines to ensure the integrity and security of software applications and infrastructure.
3. Utilize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure.
4. Manage and monitor cloud resources on platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, Google Cloud Storage, and Google Cloud Functions.
5. Collaborate with development teams to plan and execute software releases, ensuring that releases are delivered on schedule and meet quality standards.
6. Implement release automation strategies and tools to streamline the release process and minimize manual intervention.
7. Respond to and resolve incidents and outages affecting production systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and impact on users.
8. Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, and Google Cloud Monitoring to proactively identify and address issues before they escalate.
9. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes for software applications and infrastructure components.
10. Ensure seamless integration of code changes and updates into production environments, reducing deployment times and improving overall release efficiency.
