Industrial Engineer

The Industrial Engineer supports manufacturing operations by improving productivity, efficiency, and cost performance. This role focuses on analyzing processes, optimizing labor, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a high-volume production environment.

My Role:

• Analyze production processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing, and labor optimization.
• Develop and maintain standard work and labor standards.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
• Monitor productivity, efficiency, and quality performance metrics.
• Support cost reduction and waste elimination projects.
• Assist with production layout, material flow, and ergonomic improvements.
• Support quality problem-solving and corrective action activities.
• Work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
• Support new product launches, volume changes, and process updates.
• Prepare basic reports and documentation for management and audits.

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field.
  
  2 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing or maquiladora operations.
• Knowledge of basic Industrial Engineering tools (time studies, line balancing).
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Basic to intermediate Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• English fluent

• Experience in automotive, electronics, or medical manufacturing.
• Six Sigma Green Belt (or working toward certification).
• Experience with ERP or production systems.
