Global Manufacturing Process Engineer (MTT) - SMT Expert

Major Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and release Global Design Standards for assigned technologies
Develop the baseline requirements for product design which the Product Manufacturing Locations (PML) are able to deliver
Manage Deviation Approvals
• Develop and publish Process Documentation for assigned technologies
Process Standards (Required Practices)
Equipment Standards (Template Statements of Work)
Process FMEA Templates
Process Maps
Workmanship Standards
• Develop/Support1 Process Verification for assigned technologies
Error Proofing
Customer Mechanical Interface (CMI)
Additional Process Verifications (AOI, Shear Test, etc.)
• Develop and publish training material for assigned technologies
• Provide technical support across Aptiv enterprise for assigned technologies
Utilize expertise to support structured problem solving activities in areas of responsibility
Drive implementation of Lessons Learned worldwide
Support customer communication with technical expertise
Act as Subject matter expert for assigned technologies
• Develop Strategy to advance assigned technologies
Maintain a roadmap to plan advancements of technology
Perform Advanced Development Projects (ADPs)
Work with suppliers to provide robust performance for equipment, materials and components
Develop and perform designed experiments to validate process technology and to assess new product designs
• Conduct and support Line Side Review process audits in global production locations
• Utilize project management skills to develop and implement robust process solutions
• Maintain and advance software solutions and automation for technology specific tasks (P-FMEA, Maintenance, Simulation, etc.) as a key user
• Optimize process design to support equipment utilization and material flow

• Paste Printing Expert
• Laser Marking Expert
• Support for GSM, SQE and Product Teams
• Face of Aptiv to Customer for Technical Issues in Area of Expertise

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years' experience in automotive industry, preferred in manufacturing engineering
• Bachelor or Master degree in Manufacturing Systems
• 6-Sigma certified, preferable Green-Belt
• knowledge of LEAN OPEX with applicability in Manufacturing Engineering environment
• Proficient in cell design concepts, ergonomics, workplace organization
• Ability to work and live a global network environment
• Business fluent English
